The Grey Man
A soulless stare to distant shores
In wind or rain or scathing storms.
No window pane to halt what pours
Down on his head or on his heart.
A gift that gods bestow on him;
A lack of soul to tear apart.
Regrets of love and raging hate
Within him absent, vacant like
His stare. His stoney glare a state
Of blissful solitude to save.
When under reign of fickle minds
He does not flee to distant days nor
Departed weeks. For he, you see,
Does not waver when times are dire;
He stands steadfast against the fire.

The curtain's close, and the colors fade.
Made holes around my faith. It's the day.
My dying day. You and I no longer speak
Of dreams we've come to make.
who knew it came to this
The fires breath only seem warmer the night before.
When the shady trees came together to watch the ties
Form around our souls. For both of us to hold.
The dew drips on our moon drop pallet's.
It tickles our toes and our tenderness begins
To show. Such a fickle moment. Such a dire
Time spending on a thread about to break.
who knew it would.
We embrace and part ways, only to rise
With the sun and yet again become one.

Do you miss me, while you are searching for your lost self out there?
Knowing that I am also thinking of you somewhere near,
Do you still think of me no matter how busy you are or whatever you do;
Do you think that how happy I would be if I was with you!
Do you long to hold me tight the way you used to ?
And to prove your love, you hope that one day your dreams will come true;
Does thoughts of mine cheer you up whenever you are blue?
Cause, you know I am always happy whenever I think of you;
Do you remember those days whenever we were around each other?
